The 2009 version, with thin, cream white, quickly dissolving head and pinkish peach blonde colour, misty. Aroma of orange, rosewater, vanilla, pear, banana, gingerbread, yoghurt and mint. Taste begins citrussy with strong carbonation, very fruity (peach, apple), caramel malt base, soft and mellow mouthfeel, medium finish with (too) mild grassy hoppiness. Not too well-balanced.

12/I/14 - 33cl bottle from De Bierloods / Zytholoog (Adegem) @ home - BB: XI/2012 (2014-42)

Clear blond beer, fizzy unstable, white head, dissipates immediately, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, sour cherries, tangerines, bretta touch, sourish, lambik like aroma, hint of sweetness or caramel. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: it's sour, what a surprise. But weird enough it's a nice kind of sourness at first, like a geuze or sour kriek. I get fruity cherry notes, some cinnamon (which I recently noticed in a Mort Subite Oude Kriek. But the aftertaste is sweet, has an unpleasant bitterness, sout notes, spices, cinnamon again, oxidized flavour kicks in as well now, stale, musty, moulded cork and cellar, hint of honey, old port or sherry.

Bouteille 33cl.

33 cL bottle at Delerium. Pours hazy orange with a small, creamy, lacing and white head. Aroma is fruity, spiced, light acidic and malty. Sweet and spiced flavoured, much like gluhkrieks. Sweet malty and distinct fruity - slight spiced note. Lingering fruity and yeasty flavoured finish. Nice complex yeast profile with a spiced and mixed fruity base. Nice one.

Very well-carbonated beer, completely cloudy, peach-coloured under an off-white discreet head, vanishing. Sourish, lactic nose, with some decaying malts, a sourish-wry fruitaroma. Very, wild cherries, chamomille, dry cookies and restsugars. Jumble of flavours, not unlike some Regenboog beers, and I cannot help suspecting a minor kind of infection. Light bodied, probably partly due to the acids, and generally very carbonated. Weird, weird. It’s certainly drinkable, but I wonder in a couple of months. AND - are there REALLY no cherries, here?
