341ml bottle, the label is Aramis, not Rousse. Huge PSSSTTT when i open up the cap. HUGE head as i`m pouring, it wont stay down no matter how sloly i pour the beer. As i examine, its a dark red beer, a nice amber color, and we got some floaters! Aroma right off the bat is very malty. Loads of caramel malt, some slight fruit, like apples, and pears, and some yeasty notes. Flavour is a tab hoppy, and also sour, i think this beer is on its last legs, it not spoiled, but its very close. There are some sour grainy notes.......not sure i can finish this. Nope, i cant

341ml bottle. Pours a clear red-copper with a medium, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted bready caramel malt, toffee, red apple, walnut and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy caramel malt, toffee, red apple, walnut and grass in a dry, mild bitter, herbal hop finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Malt forward, just ok.

Bouteille 341ml.

5.5%. Cloudy brown beer, tan head. Smell of aged malt. Softish dry palate. Taste follows the nose with aged malt and sprinkle of sweet cocoa powder. A little hop bitterness at the end. A bit odd.

Originally rated April 2005 (when it was named "Aramis"). Bought this one at the "Trappe à Fromage" in Gatineau, Quebec. This vienna pours an amber-copper colour with a decent head, that doesn’t last long, but leaves foamy lacing. The nose is pretty pronounced with malt and hints of molasse. The taste has a slight sour start, to a bitter middle and then leads into a nice smooth caramel malt finish. The bitterness still lingers. A modest amber lager for session.

Bottle from Firefly, Vancouver
Cloudy dark amber color. Peculiar aroma, very nutty, roasted nuts mainly; some cardboard. Good body strength, round mouthfeel, with a good malt, roasted malt and caramel flavor, again with an evident nutty edge. Correct bitterness. Very good.

341mL bottle, pours dark amber with a small head. Aroma of caramelized sugar, toffee, bready malts and light sour apple. Flavour of bready malts, caramel / toffee, candied sugar, grape and apple. Not too bad actually.

Very little head, boring amber-orange body. This seems to be this brewer’s thing, and if that’s what they’re after, ugly looking beers, then more power to them. Aroma of bready malts, very simple. Taste is a nice mix of malt with a bitter finish. Some of these "red" beers end up very watery, but this one again has a great taste. Crappy looking beers with poor aroma but great taste - that’s this brewer for you.
