Here’s a nugget that James Marshall missed! Pale and crystal malts provide the backbone and golden hue, while Magnum, Simcoe and Chinook hops do the dancing on your tongue. Late hop additions to the kettle and aging on the "dry hop" give our India Pale Ale hop aroma and flavor worth digging for!

Sample at GABF 10/08/2016, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a clear dark golden color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lace. Citrus, hops and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

50cl bottle pours with a crystal clear pure gold body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up clementine, tangerines, some mango, a slice of pineapple and then a bit of spicy sort of earthy hops toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers a nice bite of citrus hop bitterness backed up by a modest degree of mango, tangerine and tangelo juiciness. To midway the citrus hop bitterness ramps up and is then joined by spicy onion dank hop bitterness and some earthy hops. This stays tropical and citrus from front to back with plenty of tasty hop bitterness rimmed thinly by juicier fruity hop notes. Pretty nice IPA.

Draft, City Beer Store. Nice IPA with some good tropical fruit flavors, a good bitter bite and a light, dry body. There’s some solid pine hoppines, but the tropical-citrus hop character was the star. I remember trying this beer at the last Bistro IPA Fest and it didn’t seem nearly as good - perhaps, it just suffered from comparisons or my exhausted palate, though. Anyway, this beer poured a bright gold with a nice white head. The mouthfeel was fairly light, some hop oiliness. The taste was rather dry with good bitterness throughout, particularly in the finish. Good IPA.

On tap at City Beer. Pours with a clear orange body and a medium sized tan head. Aromas of apricot, orange and floral hops. Taste is dry with notes of apricot, dried stone fruit, and table sugar. Really well attenuated. Dry finish. Good beer.

Another superb golden to amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. A superb fragrant resinous c-hops, pinhey, green hops. In mouth, a good biscuitty malt, subdued c-hops, light grapefruits, medium bodied. Excellent IPA. Got to have a taste of the unfiltered version which was equaly good. On tap at brewpub, 27 August 2009.

Draught. Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Serious C-hops, very citrussy, and the usual bit of grapes and grapefruit juices. Bitter-grapefruit peel-like flavours with some underlying malt syrup-like backing. Bit unbalanced, if not bad. Slick MF, oily. Typical W.C. IPA. Brewery maybe still in tentative phase?
