(Bottle) Hazy, dark golden colour with lasting, frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of dried apricots, grapefruit, bread and a touch of alcohol. Fruity, malty, hoppy taste with dried apricots, grapefruit and pine needles. Bready malt with some ryvita. Long, dry, bitter finish with just a touch of alcohol. Slightly above medium body, drier than expected. Very hoppy but still well balanced. Very nice. Impressive!

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. Aroms is mild citrusy and crisp grassy. Bitter and fruity hops flavour. Subdued malt flavour. Bitter and slight grassy flavoured finish.

Location: Picked up a 12 oz. bottle at Gilly's (Under the Hallertau alias)
Aroma: Hoppy scent, like a nice IPA, floral undertones, but the hoppiness dominates
Appearance: Nice cloudy, hazy orange color, thin white head
Flavor: Moderately to heavy bitterness with a relatively long lasting flavor.
Palate: Relatively full Body, Smooth aftertaste
Overall Impression: One of the few commercially available products from the founding father I haven't had before. It was pretty darn good too, of course I am a big fan of hoppy beers. Really unlike any pils, more of an IPA style to it.

Bottled@Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Golden colour, big white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and earthy hops along with some wooden and sappy notes. Flavour is brutally bitter fruity and grassy hops along with some hints of fruits. Dry grass in finish too. Wellbalanced and quite pleasant.

Nice hazy deep orange coloured body with a golden tint and a nice thinnish white head that tops the beer. Aroma of fresh hops, peaches, apricots and a nice maltiness. Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour with some good malt to back it up and some stronger alcoholic tastes to accomdate the flavour. Aftertaste shows some fresh hops and a good amount of malt with little else. Overall, a nice beer - definitely a bit more than the style dictates. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 25-December-2005.

12oz bottle - Pours copper with a thin white head. The nose is mainly hops with a touch of citrus and a little bready malt. The flavor is, as one would expect from the commercial description, led by the hops. That it’s all Hallertau is readily apparent in the dry bitterness with a hint of citrus. A little sweet malt in this medium bodied brew keeps it from going overboard though I wouldn’t consider it "one of the hoppiest in the world" by any means. Nice brew.
