Pours pitch black, diesel oil black, topped with smaller cream beige head. Lots of chocolatw aroma with some gentle nutiness and some very lovely vanilla. Gentle dark chocolate start with decent roasty feel later on. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Super creamy and velvety body and superbly hidden alcohol - nowhere to be felt.

Bottle at the Kings Arms Bethnal Green. That’s a lot of vanilla! There was a bit of woody pecan, but the vanilla dominated the whole beer. This was to such an extent that it, to me, drowned out the stout flavours. The alcohol was well hidden, but it was just too sweet. My companion said that it would work well as a dessert beer, but it was really not for me. I couldn’t finish my share.

Bottle 33 cl., Bishop Arms Lule�. Black with a minimal light brown head. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Sweet with a nice chocolate with vanilla end.

RBESG 2017, Grand Tasting, sampled on July 22, 2017.From bottle 33 cl at 10%. Was still available at a few stores on Systembolaget, managed to order two bottles so I had something highly reated from Sweden to bring to the tasting.Black color, tan head. Sweet, chocolate, cacao, milky scent. Sweet, ice-cream, chocolate, cacao aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Big mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Is it a novelty beer? Yes, I think so. Is it funny they have a turd on the label? Yes, I think so. Would I want to finish a bottle by myself? No, likely not, was happy to share with others for sure. My score is as (almost) always for how I perceive the beer, and not as for how I’d enjoying drinking it as a session.8/3/7/4/15=3.7

33cl Bottle at RBESG 17 Grand Tasting. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is very sweet, milk sugar, vanilla, roasted malts, molasses, gula java, light nutty. Flavour is very very sweet, roasted malts, sugar, vanilla, milk sugar, some nuts, hint of chocolate. Medium bodied. Way too sweet and gimmicky to be enjoyable in normal quantities.

(Sample from a bottle at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma was an over-sweet mixture of cocoa, chocolate and vanilla. Palate was full bodied and sticky sweet with medium carbonation. Flavours were dark chocolate, sweetness, vanilla, burnt malts, more sweetness and too little bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and sweet. Not my thing.
