Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of dull pilsner with a similar flavour and palate.

Just another boring pilsner. Doesnβt add anything to the existing beers in the Netherlands.

Average pilsner, medium sweet taste, not a lot of hops here. A nice beer, but I like my pilsners slightly less sweet.

Pale golden with a thick head and plenty of carbonation. The water used is healthy so it has a fine texture to it, it just lacks a bit of flavour. Has a malty pilsener aroma.

Pours a lovely clear straw yellow, with a long-lasting head and good lacing. Not much aroma to speak of, but what there is contains lights malt sugars and herby hops. Taste has some vegetal lager characteristics, and good astringency. Palate a bit heavy and tongue-coating. Overall, a damn sight better than most lagers.

50cl bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has citrus, herbs and pale malt. The taste has more of the same, particularly herby in fact. The palate is light to medium bodied with a similarly weighted texture and a lovely clean zingy finish. Overall, a great example of a piil Pilsener.

50cl Brown bottle, best before the end of April 2011, reviewed on 8 Mar 2011. Poured into a large stemmed tulip (Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged). Lovely clear mid-golden lager/pilsner colour, on top the regular snowy white head, this one larger than normal and with some staying power. Slight hop aroma, but more grainy than hoppy, with hints of yeasts too. Dry and refreshing, but not nasty cardboard dry, this is beter than that. A hop bitterness is never far away and the malts/yeasts within the brew sit nicely to produce a well balanced beer. It isnβt exciting, but it certainly isnβt dull either. Iβd say better than the mass produced Dutch Pilsners by a long way.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow / golden color. Smell malts, grains. Taste malts, grains, slighty bitter. Standard average pilsener.
