[3/2/15] Draught at Big Time Brewery in Seattle. Black with a bit of brown foam. Roasty aroma with coffee and a vegetal note. Sweetish roasty flavor with chocolate, coffee, and a drier slightly bitterish finish. Medium-bodied, slightly creamy.

Draft - Coffee and dark chocolate. Jet black with a small beige head. Coffee and dark chocolate. Nice but a bit simplistic.

On cask at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma brings out coffee beans upfront, followed by cocoa nibs. Flavour isn't really that robust, with notes of subdued coffee / espresso beans upfront. Not very thick or robust on the palate. Missing some oomph, but this is still nice and drinkable. Decent.

Draught at the brewpub
The color is totally black, with brown head. The aroma of roasted malts is mild. The body is well structured, it has a very rich flavor of dark chocolate and roasted malt, coffee, with some tobacco and leather notes, and very light ending liquorice. It has correct bitterness.
A very rich beer.

Cask handpull at Big Time, Seattle. Liquoricey oatmeal stout. Some sourness. Very rich. Good in mouth, lots of coffee and a faint smokiness. Whiskyish. Very nice and amazed by the strength.

Draught Black; dark brown rim, quite some lace. Burnt grains or roasted coffee, bark spices, even some black cardemom. Sweet-roasted tasting beeer; a lot of dry brown bread and a pinch of salt. Very creamy MF, velvety texture, just finishes a bit light, and somewhat cloying. Generally speaking OK, but it’s a bit unidimensional, as a well-succeeded homebrew.

Has an off white head, is pure blackness that gives off a moderately sweet chocolately nose. The mouth is slightly sour, with bubblegum, dark chocolate and roasted malts with a lingering bitter finish.
