Golden. Bitter citrus, light toasted malts, lemon, and finish with light sweetness and a lasting bitter bite. Medium bodied. While this isn’t a powerhouse IPA, I could see myself cruising though a few pints.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, bubblegum, grass, a bit soapy, decent.

On tap at Big Time, pours a hazy golden dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is very gentle, with English hops and light bready malt. Flavour is on the sweeter side but still balanced, with caramel malt, bready English malt and a very mild hoppiness. Not my type of IPA but it's well constructed for what it is.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a copper color with a very mild malt citrus aroma. Bitter hops on the flavor. This is a good IPA, but the flavor is pretty mild to me. Kind of an empty finish as well. What I do taste is all good, but I’m left wanting a little more. Overall this is a good beer though, very drinkable. Smooth flavor. Good stuff.

Rating the cask version, which is a lot better than the standard. Super hazy orange color with a thick long lasting head. Well done appearance for a cask. Very fresh bouquet of C hops with the yeast and malts of a British IPA (tea, biscuit). As is often for their beers its like London but with fresh American hops.

2012-08-09, bottle from the brewpub, no ABV, 7-4-7-3-13=34
Hazy light amber color, small head. The aroma shows some caramel, malt, demerara sugar, bread, light biscuits. Some caramel and toffee flavor, with stale bread hints, a generic feeling of un-freshness, light biscuits; correct bitterness.
A bit boring overall.

2012-07-28, draught at the brewpub, listed at 6% ABV, 7-4-7-5-15=38
Hazy amber color. Good aroma and flavor, overall not so impressive like last night, more like a good IPA, but even less impressive than the Perspective IPA.

2012-07-27, draught at Brouwer’s Café, Seattle, listed at 5% ABV, 8-5-9-5-17=44
Dark amber color, with sparse head. Mild but nice aroma of hops, fruity; later it even shows some biscuity malt. Excellent malt caramel and toffee flavor; although the mouthfeel is lean, there is a light residual sweetness that makes this beer extremely drinkable, in combination with the hops that provide delicate fruity tones and resins.
One of the freshest and best IPAs in a long time.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper color with a medium thick and fluffy white head that evaporates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus fruits and sweet caramel. Medium body with a citrusy hops character and notes of caramel malt and toffee. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruit aftertaste. Above average overall.
