Bottle from a trade with 5000. Pours cloudy orangish color with off white head. Aromas of biscuit malts and earthy hops. Bready and caramel malt flavors with some earthy hops with moderate bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Andre.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy ripe apricot with a decent foamy off-white head. Decent aromas of hop over caramel. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is fresh fruit/citrus over non-intrusive malt. Smooth and mellow. Not a big NW. However, it finishes fruitily bitter, and is very pleasant to drink.

Draught @ Collins Pub, Seattle. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a small white head. Malty fruity hoppy aroma with hints of pine. Malty fruity hoppy pine needles flavor. Long malty hoppy bitter finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

On tap at Big Time Brewery Seattle, For a Ohio State Football game. Pours out a light amber topped with a nice white cream head. More great flora hop as in most of there IPA’s.

Lightly hazy golden with just a shade more copper/amber than a typical San Diego IPA. Not the dark bronze and peachy-orange tones of most other PNW and East Coast IPAs. Head is full and almost creamy, quite lasting with full lacing left in rings down the glass. White in color. A modest amount of bubbles course upwards.
Green, leafy, almost wet smelling hops in the nose burst forth with wintergreen, light melon and dry, but not overly aggressive pine. It settles out with more reserved orange and grapefruit notes, while a big shot of sweet, but very pale maltiness arrives to let you come down easy. But it never loses its assertive hop nature, and there is no doubt that there is going to be plenty of bitterness in the flavor. The malt may allow for some balance to the bitterness, but it dosent cut it, mostly due to its pale/light nature. Dry, bitter citrus and green juiciness lingers on, but the bitterness probably gets the best of the aroma by the end. A bit more hop aromatics and a little less bittering might make it even more enjoyable. However, I do give it credit for being very dry, citric and lightly piney; definitely aggressive, but still quite enjoyable. No alcohol or flaws noted, no aspirin-like sour yeastiness.
The initial shot of flavor is just about as heavenly as it gets for an IPA. Watermelon, mango, ruby red grapefruit and the likes all completely plaster the palate, making for an intensely flavorful experience on par with the best of the West Coast superstars (Pliny the younger, hop 15, stuff like that). A fluffy, very supportive, but not aggressive pale maltiness quickly fills in as these fruity hop flavors begin to dissipate. Tempered by the strong amounts of modestly tight carbonation, the malt never gets too sticky or sweet. Close on its heels comes the bitterness, drying out the flavors immensely and turning it in to a sea of white grapefruit, lemons, limes and strong herbal notes. A dab of crystal malt mixes with pine resin on the end to give a hard, resinous finish, replete with IBUs and acids. After all is said and done, it’s still shows more bittering hops and acids than I prefer, but wow are the opening flavors superb. Can’t wait to try this on cask some day.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Low hop aroma. Low fruity citrus/sumemr fruit flavor with backing malt. not very bitter. Lighter bodied.

A hazy orange beer with a thick dense orange head. The aroma is hoppy in a somewhat dusty way. The flavor is sweet and medium malty with a light dusty hop note, leading to a dry grassy end, that also has notes of peaches. The body is a bit thin.

On tap at Big Time, Seattle. Copper colour, no head. Attractive earthy hop aroma. Grapefruit and good malt. Really nice IPA. Hop is very interesting blend.

Draught Hazy yellow-orange, no head. Fruity, grapey hops, cookie malt. Metallic bitter, really overdone, malt backing utterly lacking; grapefruit peel all over. Not very dense, burning. This is what I call a lopsided beer. Gentlemen, balance, please!
