Anarchist Amber Ale is a medium bodied ale with balance. Two row ESB malts from Gambrinus Malting provides the backbone for this beer. The addition of crystal and honey malts give this beer its colour and slight caramel sweetness. Chinook hops and California Ale yeast contribute to the crisp, dry finish.

473 ml can. Pours amber with moderate foamy head. Aromas of candied citrus, slight pine and toasted malts. Flavors of dull citrus, stale hops, wood, cardboard and toasted malts. Not really much going on; and what is ain’t great. Can’t find a best before date. Drinkable.

Rust and some caramel. Light copper pour. A little sharp grain bitterness in the finish. Not a ton of flavour, but no major flaws here. Tap at brewery.

Good foamy and orange body with just a hint of brownness. (If that ain't a word, it now is). Smells of slightly fresh leather, a handbag maybe, recently treated, also fresh hazelnuts. Flavour is soft soya sauce and malt, hints of dark pumpernickel bread or shreddies cereal with lots of milk and sugar. A bit thin on the mouth. Nonetheless a mellow amber and drinkable as a session brew.

From a 355 ml can. Pours a clear amber with an ecru head. Nutty, grassy aroma. Flavors are mild bitter, with some lingering bitterness. Okay for the style.

Bottled from Kimberley, BC. Amber colour, rich head. Salty and caramelly. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Sweet with notes of butter and sugar. Light salty bitterness. Nothing fancy, but solid and harmonious.

355mL can, pours amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma and flavour of pretty typical caramel malts for an amber - decent balance. Nothing very special here, but it's smooth and refreshing.

This ale pours a dark orange colour with a white frothy head. To the nose there is a light musty scent to this one. Along with a slight egg smell. Not too good off the start. You can kind of get a little hop and maybe some ripe fruit. First taste is very flavourful witha strong flavour of caramel. Some floral hop flavours. Hoppiness lasts with a slight bitter palate.

Darkish amber colour and a head that is not really there. I guess the Canadians don’t really care too much about the head of their beers... eh. But it has a taste that ain’t too bad. It is a bready beer that tastes like a french bread. Little hoppy and boppy. Good shit overall. Hey Iike it. It tastes like anarchy and black metal. Metallic aftertaste though. Drink beer... eh.
