Robe noire avec reflets caramel. Malts torréfiés mais on reste sur quelque chose de très doux. (M)

Bottle at La Maison De Kauign Amann in Concarneau, Brittany Sunday 11th June 2017 it’s warm and sunny. Pours conker brown with a dirty cream coloured head. A touch nutty there is a light bitterness, some chewy caramel. It’s not bad. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

Bottled, from La Cave à Bulles, Paris. Hazy mahogany colour, rich head. Aroma of buttered caramel with notes of lingonberry. Mid sweet with medium body and deep, soft malt character. Dark bread with butter. Low bitterness. A pleasant lager with depth and character.

Hazy dark reddish brown beer. Crispy semi dry palate. Dark toffee malt with a little marmite. Minerally crisp finish with a light touch of chocolate. Mild flavours all round but they hang together well enough.

Perfect pour on this one, head bubbles up from a chalice and is like a light chocolate mousse or something. Beautiful dark brown near-black colour. Aroma is all roasted barleys, slight fruitiness from the wet barley scent. Flavour is warm barleys, slight fruitiness, some dark grains and a little alcohol. Very nice indeed.

Bottled. A hazy amber-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, though added a note of oxidation.
