Bottle from 2005 at the 2010 Funky 6. Pours hazy amber with a slight head. Sweet-smelling aroma with honey and grassy hops. Nice flavor, with bready malts and yeast, understated sweetness, a mild herbal quality, and some grassy bitterness. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with floral notes, spices, light acidity and light sweetness. Very delicate and delicious.

Bottle thanks to Markwise: Poured a hazy haystack yellow with a white head. The aroma was sour and quite barnyard/harvest. Taste was refreshing fruit very carbonated with fresh grains as well.

2005 Bottle (Labeled on Cage):
Nice hazy orange coloured body with a dense white head that fades fast. Aroma of hay, grass, yeast ,wheat, coriander seed and some mild oranges. Medium-bodied; Assertive bready wheat and yeast in the taste with some fruit, alcohol and pungent acidic flavours coming out. Aftertaste has some nice refreshing flavours with citrus and coriander seed the most common. Overall, a good saison, definitely one to sample - if you can find it! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York back in 2005/2006? , sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 06-September-2009 after plentiful amounts of resting time.

Bottle pours a lightly hazy golden. Soft light malt aroma. Very light spiciness. Warm malty pale flavor. Butttery and smooth. Subtle and pleasant. Terrific example of a style that is not my fav. Thanks Chad.

2005 Bottle; Nose of some tartness, yeast,,and light spices; hazy urine colored with a small white head; flavor has a light horse blanket, cloves, nutmeg, and corriander, and some grainy breadiness. Very good saison, I should have shared it with Odeed, this is one he might have tolerated!

2003 bottle. I was holding onto this for a while now. Finally, found the right oppurtunity to open this up with some great people at a little sour night thang. Wouldn’t think this would be sour but pleasantly surprised. Lots of nice tartness mixed with a lot of yeastiness. Very different from a fresh bottle. Still poured beautiful with a strong frothy head and a beautiful orange body. Farmhouse funk, tartiness, and yeastiness all mixed up with a nice sweetness. Mag-no-fic.

Purchased in 2004 while at Brewtopia in NYC. From m,y cellar. There was a very funky off aroma that came from this when poured but it quickly left, not to return. Huge, creamy, egg-white head that covered a hazy dark yellow body. As the bottle fart aroma cleared, a fruity aroma that contained oranges, peaches and bananas came easily. Very light fruit sweetness balanced by a slight tartness. Well carbonated, refreshing.

Golden pour with big white head. Aroma of ginger, nutmeg, flowers, perfume. The flavor is spice and citrus. Ginger and pepper, orange and lemon. Notes of grass and hay are aslo noticable. Slight bitter to tangy aftertaste thanks to the hops. Moderate to high carbonation, with a sticky mouth coating.
