I vores jagt på at overføre den dejlige krydrede fornemmelse af en god Gin til en ny øl, faldt vi over nogle gamle Geneverfade fra Belgien.
Vi brygger vores grundøl godt krydret med enebær, angelika og koriander, og lægger en del af brygget på de gamle egefade.
I forbindelse med tapningen blander vi det fadlagrede og tanklagrede øl med den prisbelønnede Nordisk Gin.
Gin N' Beer er en frisk krydret øl, med en tør crispy mundfornemmelse, og en middel bitterhed. Det er en øl, der egner sig rigtig godt til krydrede madretter.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Hazy golden, small head. Aroma of citrus, elderflowers and wood. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Marzipan, elderflowers, orange and juniper. Low to medium bitterness.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, some nectary and mild wooden tones. Some juniper and gin like tones to it too. Flavour is gin, some citrus, mild nectary and herbal tones too. Quite interesting product.

bottle from rema clear yellow white head. aroma of citrus, yellow fruits, like a belgian blonde, but a bit more citrussy. flavor is a bad mix of spicy booze (gin) and the saision like or belgian blonde like flowery yeasty flavor. the gin is just not up to adding the delicate yeasty notes you normally find in a saison. Reminds me of cheap booze drinks in spain when i was young. now, i left half the bottle for the next day, and the day after the beer tasted a lot better, i don't know what happened but today it is much more like a saison and the too much gin sensation is much much less. so i'll give it a few extra taste points.

500 ml bottle, from SPAR Hirtshals. ABV is 7%. Slightly hazy golden colour, large white head. Aroma of juniper berries, jenever, angelica root, coriander seeds and oak. Refreshing and fairly dry flavour with notes of spicy saison yeast, hints of citrus and moderate earthy hops, and otherwise the same elements as in the aroma.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden honey with medium white head. Aroma is malt, grain, lime and hints of juniper. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is medium long and mostly bitter with notes of malt, grain, hops and lime. A bit short.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with notes of juniper and hints of malt. Bitter flavour of hops and gin, with notes of juniper and coriander and touches of yeast and pinento. Salty, funky aftertaste with juniper notes and hints of barrel. Quite reasonable. Not aggresive.
