33 cl bottle obtained from Smaakhuis one year ago. This 2024 version shows a 11.3% abv. This evening I have my Teku glass ready, the cap is off and I pour. Chestnut brown in color with a fine little top of creamy dark khaki tan foam, some lacing possibility. The scent is subtle, I get a bit of ripe fruit, earth and some grain. And the taste builds on the nose, there is oak, plums, peat, red apple, malt and a touch of sweetness. One attribute I like particularly is the feel of the drink, substantially full. It is a quad so there is that positive but I have had many I like better.

Medium body. Vrij stevig in de alcohol. Lichte bitterheid in de finish.

Dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, oak, sherry, dried fruit, vanilla, alcohol. Flavour is oaky vanilla sweetness. Nice brew and a bit tastier than the regular "Zuster Agatha".

Kerstbier Festival. Dark amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, wood, raisins. Taste of dried fruits, strong grainy malt, boozy finish.

Thick-set dense cream-tan head over deep red-brown beer, veiled, leaving lace. Sweet, alcoholic and wood-like nose, liquorice, coffeemilk. Enormous loads of liquorice, drop - and both sweet and salt, as there is indeed a large minerality here. Wood, dried-out chocolated, wet cardboard. Well-bodied, slick to chewy, very good carbonation. What was the idea??? To see how much malt could be replaced by some packs of zoute drop ? Well, not as much as done, it's hardly drinkable. Txs to B & T for the gift!

31/VIII/22 - 33cl bottle, shared @ home, BB: 30/IX/24 (2022-1104) Thanks to Mattie for the bottle!
Clear dark reddish brown beer, huge creamy beige head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: chlorine up front, bit of a metallic impression, apples, dried fruits, more metallic notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter, good roast, some alcohol, lots of dried fruits, alcohol, chocolate notes, caramel malts. Aftertaste: bitter hops, fruity touch, roasted, bit oxidized, chocolate notes, a sweet touch, hoppy finish, some alcohol, nice one!

On tap. Pours a dark mahogany with moderate foamy head. Aromas of coppery malts and caramel with some herbal, almost vegetal notes. Flavors follow on the malty side with additional sweet raisin and bread crust. Hot finish. A nice quad; might be a bit sweet. Worth collecting.
