Bottle. Almost black and opague. Grainy roasty cvreamy aroma. Cream, rye bread, some sour milky notes and chocolate cake in the flavor. Easy drinker, sweet, quite likeable.

Creamy tan coloured head stayed on a thick jet black still body. Sweet dark berry, lactose & sugar aroma. Medium to full bodied, soft, fluffy & creamy in the mouth with cloying back. Sweet coffee, berries, syrup, jam & demerara tastes with a light citrus finish. Very nice....

Draught at Ahrendsnest. Dark brown with a thin head. Aroma of fruit and roasted malt. Flavour is quite sweet, malt, chocolate, creamy oatmeal a bit more bock feel than stout.

Sample @ Stadsbrouwhuis, Leiden. Ambrée, brune col beige. Arôme au nez malté, caramel, crystal, carafa avec un rétro pâle, léger côté chocolaté étant accompagné d’effluves de fruits noirs. Palais est malté mettant bien en avant le s8%, pomme caramel, fruité noir, sucre candy et pointe de malt crystal. Le tout est finemetn collant aux lèvres avec une levure laissant penser à une phase belge et un chocolat ayant la belle part de ce stout. Pas forcément retrouvé l’épaisseur de l’avoine.

330ml bottle @ Malja, Kuopio
Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, oatmeal and hints of milky notes. Taste is smooth, silky and slightly roasty with hints of oatmeal, milky notes and chocolate. Finish is slick, smooth and sweetish with some milk chocolate and roastiness. Okay sweetish stout.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 1/15, at Viisi Penniä, 20150220) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, sea water, herbalness and caramel. Palate was rather full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, liquorice, burnt malts, mild sourness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, midly sour and bitter. A little bit too sweet brew.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with late awakening, huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, brown head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, a touch of caramel and cocoa, treacle and liquorice. Taste is dark malty, slightly sweet, slightly salty-spicy, lots of liquorice.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As De Prael / Jopen HIJSM ].Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, oat, chocolate, caramel, milk chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, oat, milk chocolate, milky, molasses. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20141208]
