Bottle thanks to Jan. Dark orange with a frothy head. Aroma is oak, spices, raisin, a bit of smoke. Overall reminds me of a Belgian Ale aged in oak barrels. Taste is lightly bitter with plenty of oak. The smoke component stays fairly restrained. Body is medium with average carbonation. Overall, quite pleasant.

getrunken als "Strandgut Rauch-Eiche"
Im Dezember 2017 fand ich einige Biere der Rügener Inselbrauerei im Basteleien- und Deko-Geschäft Nanu-Nana. Und das erste Mal habe ich dort mehr Geld ausgegeben als meine Frau. Dieses Strandgut ist ein obergäriges, flaschengereiftes Bier, bei dem als Bierstil "Eigenkreation" genannt wird. Im Gegensatz zu vielen Bieren, die fassgereift sind, hat es keinen süßlichen Holzgeschmack, sonder eine angenehme Malzigkeit. Trotz des eigentlich geringen Alkoholgehaltes, ist es relativ schwer. Ein gutes, vollmundiges Bier für einen entspannten Abend.

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark amber colour with huge, firm, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Woody, oaky aroma, a touch of vanilla. Taste is dry, woody, oaky, a sweet-ish touch of vanilla; monotonous and slightly watery.

Flight at Rügener Insel-Brauerei. Pours with a clear amber color and a nice off-white head. Nice smokey aroma. soaked wood with caramal and malty aromas. Taste is slightly smokey and fruity, some herbal and hoppy flavors . Nice dry finish.

Flasche 0,33l: Dunkles Orange, klar, feinperlig, sehr kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; sehr süße Nase, dezent fruchtig, leichte rauchige Noten, frisches Holz, Malz, etwas Malzzucker, Karamell, dezente frische Hopfennoten; im Körper leichte würzige Süße, leicht fruchtig, frisch, Malz, etwas Karamell, Milchsäurebakterien, leicht säuerlich, Hefe, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, deutliche Hopfennoten, Zitrusnoten, leichte Röstaromen, angenehme fruchtig-trockene Bitterkeit; angenehmer trocken-fruchtiger Nachgang mit dezenten Holznoten

Bottle at home. Unclear dark amber with massive head. Nose of fresh cut oak wood. Sweet malts, caramel malts, oak resin and dry wood, only light smoke. Sweet and moderate bitter, tiny bit sour in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Liquid wooden floor. Strange and unique aromas. Interesting but not a topper in the Smoked style. Bottle 330ml. [ As Insel-Brauerei Strandgut ].Unclear matt medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, caramel, orange, light wood, rubber notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, orange - fruity, pale malt, caramel, light smoked, rubber notes.
