Sorachi Ace Saison is a light, bright & beautiful farmhouse ale powered by the quirky Sorachi Ace hop. This little-known Japanese hop is known for its lemony, herbal qualities and spicy aromatics, and they’re on full display in our beer.

Bonne Saison bien en céréales qui était meilleure une fois un peu réchauffée... Le nez me rappelait surtout le citron et l’aneth, sans toutefois me sembler fraîche.

Bottle from L&T World. Pours a hazy orange with 2 fingers of foam. Light saison yeast nose with big cream cheese and dill notes with a touch of lemon. Nice full body, but not over the top. More dill and cream cheese on the palate. Soft and well-rounded, but good carbonation. Clean and crisp finish with a touch of hay and lemon. Diggin’ it! --- Beer merged from original tick of Sorachi Ace on 07 Nov 2016 at 18:24 - Score: 7. Original review text: Saison funk with a good dose of sorachi ace. Actually works quite well.

07/10/16. Brooklyn event at Wine Rack, West Byfleet. Sour yeasty aroma, sweetness too. Bright gold, with a big bright white head. Bitter. A sour kick. Pleasent mouthfeel, with a warming sensation. Dry finish. Herbs and lemons.

12 oz bottle, best by September 2016. Pours golden, filled with fine to medium particles, and a white head. Aroma is skunked at first, but then more of a lemony citrus, wild mint. Pale malty flavor mixing with pear, herbal flavors (like that wild mint), white grape, with a touch of the skunkiness still hanging in there. Pretty good other than the problems caused by the age/storage (skunking and appearance). I think I would really like a fresh bottle were one to be found.

Bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with Marko. Clear light yellow, medium white head. Citrus, bubblegum, light smoky, stinging yeasty. Dry and spicy, medium carbonation. Medium carbonation, long dry finish, resembling a Champagne. Drinkable. Innovative take on the saison style, interesting.
