In Cacaophony, we set out to brew pudding. Potent, unadulterated chocolate pudding. We went mad on the oats to create a thick, decadent mouthfeel. The nose is pure Bruge, all roasty chocolate warmth. The body follows suit with a thick broth of milk chocolate and softly roasted malts accentuate this opulent brew.

Tap @ Brygghuset. Pitch black body with a dense, lacing beige head. Aroma has dark, roasted malt, quite much coffee and some dark chocolate. Flavor is rather sweet with roasted malt, lots of coffee and dark chocolate. Full boded and long lasting, bittersweet aftertaste. Very nice, but feels a bit rough in a way.

Opaque dark brown beer, residual tan head. Smooth and slightly soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Dark chocolate streaked malts, a little tangy, more than I would like. Some alcohol heat. Little coffee. Something like brandy wet wood on the warm finish. A tad clunky but not awful.

44 cl. can @ home, bought @ Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Black with a thin dense beige head. Massive cacao aroma with some roasted malts. Taste is sweet with a long cacao-bitter finish. Mouthfeel is very smooth and thick, without being too cloying. Quite excellent cacao flavored imperial stout.

Can from Elusive. Chocolatey aroma with a boozy edge. Latent booze. But rather low key. Dark - a brown tint. Thick foamy tan head. Medium-heavy bitter. Dark chocolate. Black coffee. Underlying burnt sugar. Some sour berries. But for chocolate pudding it's more coffee based for me. Light-medium bodied. Creamy but a thin base. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. It's fine and a decent enough Impy Stout but I want me choccy pud.
