23 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear dark golden, big, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, caramel, peanut, melon, pear, plum, orange rind. Taste has sweetish orange, mango & melon, bitter citrus peel & grapefruit juice, bit sourish over a solid biscuity malty base. Earthy hoppy finish, more grapefruit, citrus, pine bite and a good dash of gin-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. This is getting somewhere; aromatic with a full malt body.

Thuis uit een flesje. Troebel roodkoperen kleur. Veel beige schuim. Caramel in het aroma. Smaak, stevige bitter, ook de nasmaak is lekker bitter. Het alcoholpercentage komt binnen. Uitstekend.

Bottle from Citysuper at home. Dark amber pour with foamy off white head. Very muddy dank with toffee apple malt. Taste is bigger and better - like a bitter barley wine in its slick palate and big caramel malt, with alcohol burn. Lasting prickly bitter burn. Not bad. Heavy malt overwhelms a bit.
