330 ml bottle, as Emelisse TIPA, kindly shared by abemorsten. Hazy dark orange-brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Strong and "typically American" DIPA/TIPA aroma of orange marmalade, apricots and loads of fruity and piney hops. The flavour has first a smooth malty and fruity sweetness, then the hops really set in, and last through the bitter finish and long aftertaste. Powerful stuff, but not too extreme after all.

Cloudy dark orange colour. Aroma is very intense and dominated by sweet tropical fruits. Low carbonation and quite an oily feel. Bittersweet fruity citrus flavour. Nice, dry finish. Warming.

Bottle at home. Pours a golden mahogny colour with a small vanilla coloured head. Nice fruity and hoppy aroma filled with pine, caramel, oak, citrus and with an alcohol touch in a bit dry ending. Pleasant and well-balanced. The flavour is a bit more faint version of the aroma with more pine and resin, sweet at first and fades out with grassy hops and alcohol. Silky and rich mouth feel, and a heavy lingering bitterness. The touch of oak and caramel and mouth feel sends me towards the mighty Utopia. A very nice aroma, but I feel the flavour is not as balanced as the aroma. Anyway a rich and solid DIPA.

At a tasting, thanks Naama, very hazy deep orange to light red colour, very little head, aroma of strawberry jam, cherries and cake maltiness, flavour of melon, cherries and plums, quite bitter but balanced by a strong biscuity malt, doesn’t feel strong as it’s ABV. Extremely good.

Bottle from Great Grog, Edinburgh [100213] BBE 09/13
Deep dull orange, cloudy, thin white head. almost no lacing
Aroma of caramel malts, sweet fruity hop resins, touch of barley sugar and yeast
Taste of fruity caramel malts, dab of fruity toffee, slightly caramelised orange, dab of lemon zest, good flavour but not very hoppy, abv well hidden, too easy to drink
Palate - soft carb, medium body, oily, fairly sweet palate. Finish of fruity sweet malts, soft bitter zest, light dull bitter lemon and orange zest linger, touch of warmth at the back
Overall - This was more than a year old when I had it - it’s stood up well - it’s quite malty - not usually a fan of malty IPAs but the malts worked well here - quite fruity and sweet and masked the abv well...probably far hoppier when fresh?

Bottle. Cloudy orange, offwhite cream. Nice tropical fruit and pine hop aroma. Sweet fruit nectar entry, fullbodied, feels massive. Big sticky pine hop resin finish. Initially quite the flavor bomb, gets too much after a little while to be honest.

Alkoholen godt kamuflert. Veldig uklar siste kvelling. Friskt & godt øl!

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Bready and nutty malty aroma with slightly vinous fruity notes. Moderately sweet and mildly bitter flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly nutty malty taste with notes of caramel, cough syrup and a subtle fruity touch; rather dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with hints of grapefruit and cough syrup in the aftertaste. 17.XII.12
