Backlog September 2011. Slightly unclear orange body under a fine, creamy off-white head. Nice fresh hop aroma with citric fruit and some malt as well. Taste is medium sweet malt, citric fruit, peaches and nice bitterness. Balanced body with a fine, bitter aftertaste.

From tap @ BBF 2010. Orange blonde color. Tangerine, grapefruit and melon in the slightly yeasty aroma. Thinnish, yeasty earthy flavor with grapefruit and melon. Strong earthy bitter soapy aftertaste.

Collaboration between two of the most creative Dutch breweries, with stable, sticky, snow white head and misty orange blonde colour. Very, very hoppy aroma, tonic water, grapefruit peel, grass, unripe peach; taste begins with a dryish, subdued fruitiness, citrus, immediately overpowered by an extremely strong, peppery, resinous, spicy hop bitterness which lingers in mouth and throat for a very long time. Challenging, but I had many better balanced examples in this style.

Clear warm golden colour, white head. Fruity aroma, hops, some raisins. Bitter flavour, sweet malty. Bitter finish with sweet sultana raisins. Aged nicely for an IPA, I’d say.

Tasted Blind at a tasting party in Gent

A - no head. Little layer of bubbles. Dark yellow / light brown. SRM of 10

S - big caramel and roasted pistachio. Huge honey and then candy corns. Slight vanilla. Cheese

T - Taste is pretty different. Old hops. Hop profile is sort of gone. candy corns reminds me of the old urthel hop it I had but one that was long past it’s prime.

M - 50/50 carbonation. Medium body. Terrible faded hop after taste.

O - 60/100. Okay smell bad taste. Okay appearance. "I think it’s a barley wine. Nope. It’s a Dutch IPA a year old"

Bottle. Almost clear, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is citrusy and piney, with a little maltyness in the back. The flavor has a nice bitterness, supported by pine cones, citrus peel and some peaches. Malt flavors are present, but left in the back. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A fine bitterness in the end. A quite lovely beer, especially flavor wise. 110916

Sampled from bottle. Unclear, hazy orange color, looks a bit like squeezed orange peel. Slightly off-white head. Not the best IPA smell in my opinion, misses a little bitterness. Tastes good, hoppy grapefruit, citrus and moderately bitter. Nice carbonation and body.
