Pours an enormous head. Dark brown color, cloudy. Coffee and licorice aroma but also a fair bit of hops. Just a hint of sourness. Coffee, licorice and hops. Thin. Hopbitter, somewhat toasty aftertaste.

Bottled. A hazy red-amber beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is acidic with notes of malt, straw, and citrus. Boring. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Hazy dark brown colour with mediumsized foamy beige head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some dark dry fruits as well as mild coffeeish and nutty notes. Flavour is mainly roasted malts along with some nutty, ashy and burnt wooden notes.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a dense and lively beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of hard roasted malts and dried fruits. Medium body, hard roasted malts and a little ashes. A little tartness in the finish and some malt bitterness. 230909

(33cl bottle) Sweet and delicately roast-malty aroma with distinctively fruity accents and shades of caramel and licorice. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Roast-malty taste with notes of chocolate and a lighter touch of coffee; slightly nutty and burnt grainy finish with subtle fruity notes. Too fruity for a Porter of my liking, as if it was already a bit off (11.VIII.09).

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with a slight haze and a tan head. Malty aroma with hints of dried fruit and aniseed. Malty, roasted and slightly tangy taste, with hints of chocolate and dried fruit detected. Fairly nice, but has the potential to be much better.

Bottle: Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, quite stable off-white head; not very dry roast-malty nose, supported by sweet dried fruits and a tinge of liquorice; moderate, a bit drier, bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; becomes even drier in the bitter-roasty finish. Pleasant belgian Porter.........
