Fles gedeeld door Inoven. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en caramel. De smaak is moutig en zoet.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, firm creamy head - looks delicious. Strange aroma of artificial candy and higher alcohols. Sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Caramel and cheap jelly candy. Low bitterness. Mostly weird, but decidedly better than all pastry stouts out, for whatever that is worth.

Short 0,33 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Nearly black in the glass with a more than one finger foamy beige head. Low malty smell. Taste is malty, little bit roasted, caramel, smooth, some increasing nuts. Sweetness in the background. Hidden alcohol.

Donker roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitterzoet met iets van karamel, wat koffie en een beetje chocolade. Best fijn bier.

Bottle (Penny Young). Dark brown with a light tan cap. Caramel aroma with some roast, coffee and herbs. Pretty light bodied for >7%. Caramel, some roast, herbal bitterness. OK, but lacks depth, presence and softness - any of those would have been welcome. But it's OK.

Opague. Sugary roasted malt and coffeearoma. Sweetish, but not overly sweet. Roasted malt, coffee, just a hint of sourness, milky. Should be very refreshing on a hot day. Even now a tasty beer, an interesting mix of a sweet stout and an irish-type stout. Hard to find, only available in Surinam stores and in Berts Bierhuis.
