SLOW GUSHER ALERT!
Clear orange beer, lots of chunks near the bottom of the bottle, small creamy off-white head, unstable, falls down quickly. Aroma: very fruity, lots of tropical fruits, citrus, little soapy, grapefruit. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, some grapefruit, lots of oranges, marmalade, some tropical fruits, and citrus. Aftertaste: very bitter, bit resinous, some grapefruit, bit malty, grains, a bit of a medicinal bitterness in the finish.

At Hedonis Ambachtsfest, BBP's latest experiment at the time of tasting, a standard (West Coast-inspired) modern American IPA, though I guess the rise of New England IPA created a necessity in the heads of the creators of this beer to denotate it as simply 'American'. Strange twist, actually, from a historical perspective... Anyway: off-white, moussy, lacing head, warm hazy orangey blonde robe. Aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice, grapefruit peel, biscuit, ripe melon, pineapple, moist marihuana. Smooth, fruity flavour, pineapple and melon notes, sweetish with a sourish edge, nice nutty edges to an otherwise cereally and lightly caramelly malt body; aromatic, bit dank finish, orange zest, onions, mango and even slightly piney. Very well made - many consumers have grown accustomed to BBP's larger-scale Delta IPA, which is a fine 'Belgian style IPA', but as far as I'm concerned, I would not mind if it were replaced by this one... BBP is really getting there, as I have stated before. Motivating to keep following them!

Thanks! Sampled draft @ BBP. Reddish amber, lacing off-white head. Nose is easy but too muted grapefruit peel, faintly medicinal, herbal, almost cacao. Taste is medium old schoold grapefruit peel, low herbal medicinal cacao,… Body is easy, bit too mellow. Old school tasting, bit odd & muted, not great but decent enough.
