Bottle, 2017 vintage. Caramel malt aroma with notes of chocolate, toffee, Candi sugar and Belgian yeast. Pours cloudy caramel colored with a large tan head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with rich caramel, chocolate and spicy Belgian yeast flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with toffee and Candi sugar flavors. Still quite good after 8-ish years.

From the bottlegger Paris, second rate and a solid and classic trappist beer, older bottle and it was better, giving something lovely for your lips, notes of apricot, plum, malty, sugar, boozy, hop behind the scene, complex. 09.04.21

Aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, dark fruits, toffee. Flavour is malty and caramel sweetness, yeasty. Like most Trappists very well-balanced.

Gushing! Bottiglia.

25/1/2025. Bottle at the ITFC Vintage and rare Saturday share part 1. From Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Opened with a gush. Pours clear dark amber brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, toffee, dried fruits, biscuit. Fairly sweet, with moderate bitterness. Medium body, quite smooth, average to soft carbonation. Quite enjoyable.
