Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer Merchants Tap. Pours mostly clear amber-brown with a big, frothy tan cap. Lovely aroma of subtle Belgian yeast, ripening semi-dark berries. Medium sweet flavour with notes of toasted brown bread, berries, mellow yeast, accents of caramel and toffee, dates. Medium bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Restrained warmth to finish, moderately malty, more berries, hints of cocoa, toasted toffee, bread. Really drinkable overall. Classically styled Belgian dark ale.

Bottle from Belgium?? Anyway, pretty non existent aroma. Lovely mahogany brown. The flavour is quite sweet with a dry ending. The fizz and feel of a classic Belgian brown. You really cant beat the Belgians sometimes. (31/8/21). ----- Bottle from Belgium or system, who knows. Gentle, somewhat boozy aroma. Quite thin brown apperance. Really tasty though - chocolate and English brown ale notes, but with hops coming through. Easy ending with some booziness. Not mind blownigly profound but a lovely beer for sure that would be dangerous on the long run. 3.7 to 3.6.
