Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Hogs Back shop. Obviously not the correct tick.

Bottle. Clear amber body with a beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of brown sugar and rust. Flavour of toffee, red apple and salted caramel. Medium body with a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Sweet and strong. Tasty.

0,33l from bottle at home bought from Finest Belgian Beers. BB 25.06.2021. redish / brown hazy color, medium big yellowish head. smells marzipan, nutty, ripe fruits, bit yeasty, nice smell. full body, bit pearly carbonation. tastes marzipan, bit yeasty, nutty, earthy, some sweetness, light alcohol, ripe fruits. finishes lightly sweet with notes of marzipan, nutty and some ripe fruits. nice one overall, rather on the sweet side, the nice pearly carbonation pulls this one through though. also a bit on the boozy side.

0,33 bottle.Opaque, light maroon color with huge off-white foam. The aroma is complex, strong, more malt, sweet, cognac, aszús. Sip feeling is perfect, carbonic point is good. Alcohol well hidden. It opens with sweet at first, then very complex flavors in finish, dried fruity, fresh finish. Outstanding beer like its bright companion! One of the best, most enduring Belgian flavors, and I don’t feel that bitter aftertaste of candy-sugar! Very, very recommended !!!
***

Pour is a muddy river water brown with a kind of small head for a Belgian. Aroma is dark fruit like plums with a nice musty cellar. Flavor is sugar coated plums with various other dark fruits and again a nice musty basement with some black cherry. This was a bargain bin pickup that was well past it's best by date so I was a little worried but this has held up well. Lots of flavorful dark fruit with some musty flavorful dirtiness.
