Bottle from Beerdome. Big dark chocolate kick in the aroma with lots of cocoa nibs, dark malt, and more bitter dark chocolate. Flavour is rather sweet with an above moderate bitterness. Body is medium to full. I like it, lots of dark cocoa, enjoyable chocolate Stout.
Cacao, slightly thin, alcoholic, coffee, hmmm it’s okay, but nothing special

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with limited brown foam, fine. Aroma is coffee, even more chocolate, a little vanilla and molasses. Body is smooth, average, with limited carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, plus pretty roasty. Final is average.

Black beer, decent tan head. Smells boozy with a little chocolate and dried fruit. Flavour has strong dark chocolate, loads of malt, dried fruit, a little liquorice. Rich and smooth with boozy warmth. Very nice.

Strong cacao aroma. Medium body, moderately sweet, some cacao flavour, there is not much depth or richness though; there is some dark malt acidity.
Good.

Strong chocolate stout in Sori's renowned Dark Humor Club series, bottle from BeerFreakChick shared with my girlfriend. Mousy, yellowish beige, quite large-bubbled and quickly opening, eventually dissipating head on a black beer with thin burgundy edge, only visible under bright light. Intense bouquet teeming with chocolate sauce as well as old dusty 'fondant' chocolate bars, espresso, coffee liqueur, brown rum, charred horse steak, dried old chili peppers, wet leather, vanilla, candied dates, bourbon, black peppercorns, walnut paste, freshly ground hazelnuts, beef stock, caramel. Intense onset too, dense sweetness of candied dates and candied figs, some fried pear and stewed plum perhaps, raisins, with a restrained light sourishness and vague umami hint (beef stock); medium carbonated, full, oily body, yet somehow a tad more supple than expected. Nevertheless a layer of thick toffeeish, pecan-nutty and dark-chocolatey maltiness glides over the tongue, developing bitter espresso-like roastedness in the end while the dark bitter chocolate aspect remains key; quite aromatic in the end, but strangely more akin to coffee than to chocolate. Lots of peppery, bourbon-like alcohol rounds things off, aided by a spicy hop hint and vanilla- and cinnamon-like impressions, yet again the dark chocolate effect lingers the longest in the end, accompanied by a subtle hint of roasted meat. Quite complex, in all, and certainly one of the more impressive ones in this highly profiled series; sweet, yet not too much so, well-balanced with a coffeeish bitterness and lovely bourbon-coloured alcohol. Very easily - or should we say 'dangerously' - drinkable for a 10+% ABV stout as well... In any case one of the best Sori creations I had to date.
