Dark black pour with a small tan head. Aromas of cocoa/chocolate, milk/cream, roasted malt. Taste is similar with quite prominent coffee notes.

On tap at l'Ermitage Saint-Gilles [as a hopped porter]. Pours opaque dark brown with a beige head. Roasted malts and coffee on the nose. Flavour has roasted malts, some coffee. Not sure what hops were used, but I'm not getting much. Decent porter.

Stor takk til Holmen2 for denne 0,33 buteljen fra hans importkoffert, nydt hjemme: nesten helt kullsort med kort skum. Nydelig aroma og smak med mørke lakridschokolader, friskbrent dessertkaffe, kvae/furunål, hint av torvrøyk. En meget lekker kreasjon med plenty av mersmak i den deilige ettersmaken.

Tap @L'Ermitage, Saint Gilles, BXL, 6.5%. Black, lasting beige head. Green coffee and fruity hops aroma. Caramely coffee flavour, sweet caramel and light piney hops. Very nice.

Draught, 6.9% at L'Ermitage Saint-Gilles. Good roasted aroma with coffee notes. Black colour, seems clear. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted with lots of coffee. Not as hoppy as I thought it would be, but still very good. Late coffee aftertaste. Light mouthfeel.

Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Lots of cocoa and some toast. Roast and toast with a nice light cocoa finish.
