Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is huge liquorice, black chocolate, light fruitiness, prunes. Taste is the same. Thick oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Good, but a bit overdone.

Süßer Beginn. Etwas Kakao, dunkles Brot, volles Mundgefühl. Süffig, langer, etwas alkoholischer Nachhall. 10/11/12/12//12

Dark brown pour, some creamy brownish foam on top. Nose has light roast, some spices and chocolate. Taste has some roast, light spices, leaving actually some tingling heat lingering on your tongue. Sweet and spicy, interesting mix there. Feels light but actually packs a lot of flavour and body kind of feels exactly right.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', best before January 2020. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of nougat, vanilla, coconut, some coffee and a touch of tonka beans. Fairly sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of nougat, lots of coconut, vanilla, coffee and traces of tonka beans, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, warming and a little boozy finish. Almost full-bodied, slightly creamy and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice guilty pleasure, very rich and sweet, just a bit too much carbonation for an Imperial Stout.

Strong stout made in collaboration with Estonian superstar Sori, cheers tderoeck. Thick and moussy, pale brownish beige, stable head, black robe with hazy burgundy edges. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, hazelnuts, coconut shells, marzipan, nougat, wet leather, rum, liquorice, shoe polish, bayleaf. Sweet onset with a sourish edge, fig and dried plum notes, medium carb; deeply nutty maltiness quickly turning caramelly and eventually black chocolatey, with a thick, oily, viscous mouthfeel. Toasty bitterness in the end but the sweetness wins, also established by the added tonka beans, which provide coconut-, marzipan- and cinnamon-like, desserty flavours, even with a vague vanilla bean accent to it; warming, spicy, complex bittersweet finish with a late hop punch embedded in impressions of melting caramel, tonka bean aromatics and chocolate liqueur. Exemplary dessert stout, not that far removed from Lervig’s renowned Three Bean, albeit a bit less complex.
