Botswana has been a target country for a while and huge thanks to Bov for sending me this can. Country #163. Pours very pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of very light malt, grain and straw. Almost nothing to taste, just like some sort of sugar water with a very light plastic bitterness. Light body, thin texture, average carbonation. Wasn’t expecting much from a 3.5% African pale lager but this is pretty awful and it’s only stand out feature is it’s got my lowest rating ever.

gift of a colleague and friend - many thanks! the palest yellow colour I’ve ever seen, almost no head at all; aroma of some grains, maybe herbal and cardboard notes; taste of sparkling water with some cardboard, metallic-sourish notes and hints of bread; among the worst lagers I’ve ever tried, but anyway, it is from Botswana - and this is the only reason it worth to try

330 ml can. Clear, very pale golden with a big, fast disappearing white head. Aroma of grain and sweet corn. Flavor is sweet grainy with a harsh metallic bitterness. Thin body and the same metallic harshness in the aftertaste makes this a less pleasant experience.

Can. It’sa clear, pale golden beer topped by a fine, white head. The aroma is rather weak, with a little fruityness, as well as hay, grass and pale malts. The flavor too is weak, with grainy pale malts, grass and hay, and a faint note of bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Short finish. A decent pale lager, but nothing more. 130204
