Aroma of dark malt, caramel, yeast, hint of coffee. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitter finish. Not much of a Stout, but a decent Belgian Strong Dark Ale.
Bought on line, drank at home. A pleasant stout, not outstanding.

Tap at Gulden Draak Beerhuis Prague. Medium body, feels much weaker than it is. Rather high carbonation. Lots of red fruits, medium dried fruits, med-light spicy phenolics. Med-light caramelly, light roasty maltiness, not feeling very stouty, omly light chocolate presence. A hint of bretty sourness. If I forget about the whole stout thing, it is a nice beer.

33cl bottle groom Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, with fine, light brown foam. Aroma is malty and nutty, fairly intense. Body is average, lighter than expected, with average carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet. Final is average.

Bottle from Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. (cheap because 5 years out of date !) Dark fruit and liquorice in the aroma – but not overpowering. Pours a murky dark brown (with sediment) with a sizeable beige head. Dark fruits and roast malts mixed in the mouth with added cough mixture (bronchial balsam) ! Chocolate and plums lie underneath in wait too. Finish is fruity in the mouth, but the alcoholic strength makes itself known in the throat and stomach ! Not bad at all, but not really a stout.

Not an imperial stout, despite the label, it’s a belgian dark strong with some american stout influences. Rather light in color but more belgian yeast driven. Tastes good, but perhaps a bit mistreated. Online beerwulf
