Bottle, a year out of date. Nice heavy duty crown seal though. Black with a dense fat coat of tan head. Roast, mocha, hints of soy sauce and peat, reduced berries, suffused with whiskey. Smooth with lowish carbonation. Nice chocolate, berries and roast but somewhat biting peat and overt alcohol. I don't understand why it's so peaty.

Black, light tan head. Dark malty aroma, whisky, wood. Wood and whisky flavour, roast and a light sourish note which is slightly disturbing.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy light brown head. Nose has rough wood and tannins with some sweet roast lurking underneath. Fat, malty body. Rough and harsh roast with ashes and an annoying tartness. A somewhat crude barrel aging that didn't really do the beer any good. 260220

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of whiskey, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, whiskey, smoke, dark chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a dry smokey finish. A bit overdone on the barrel aging for me.

1/XII/18 - on tap @ Billie's Beer Festival Day 2 (Antwerp), BB: n/a - (2018-1926) Thanks to the RateBeer crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy dense beige to brown head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: soft peated notes, alcohol, roasted, dried fruits, jam, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter, harsh roast, super bitter, not my cup of tea. Aftertaste: very bitter, peated, unpleasant.
