They had at least 5 Hungarian west coast IPAs, and the bartender was quite honest about which ones were "bullshit." This one is good! Not quite as piney as I hoped but a damn good IPA in a world where they often suck. (A world, ie. Earth.)

Can 33cl @home poured into a teku glass. Opaque pale to medium amber colour, lasting fair off-white creamy head, fair lacing. Sweaty and resinous aroma pale malt, grain, pine, grapefruit, orange peel. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, pine and pine resin, orange peel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering sweetbitter aftertaste, piney till the end, orange pith, overpowering pine resin, rather unbalances, nice.

On tap. Clear golden with thin head. It has slight aromas of hops, vegetables, hay and some fruits. Its taste it’s somewhat more prominent, with hops, slight honey, and fruity notes. Short finish, light body and soft carbonation. Nothing extraordinary but well made.

Can 330ml (KCM ICCO, BB 11/2025)
Hazy dark golden colour, steady white head. Overripe pineapple, jam in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is also fermented jam and pineapple. Feels already a bit old.

From tap at Élesztó, Budapest, 17.08.24. Hazy dark straw colour. Some white head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of pale malt, Sevilla marmalade, dried papaya, various citrus, dried apricot and pine. Bitterness and dried fruit sweetness is lingering on. Solid malt taste! Good!
