Bottle from Safeway Lahaina, in our appartment, Kanapali beach 24/04/14. Clear golden amber with a good sized off white head that retains well. Nose is papaya, caramel, light spice, tropicana, honeycomb, apricot, pineapple. Taste comprises bitter orange, caramel, spice, candied orange peel, light yeast tones, mellow fruits, sliver of honey, this holds up very well for 8.5%, well tempered with a pinch of spice and a malty base it doesn’t ever get too sweet or cloying. Medium + body, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate, light boozedom at the curtain call. This was a new brewery for me and this beer far surpassed my expectations. Solid Belgian offering.

Bottle. Honey golden, low offwhite head. Spicy honeyish nose, cherry notes are certainly there. Medium body, light viscous mouthfeel. Nice fruity (also pineapple, berries) and honeyish base flavour, lavender, restrained yeastyness - well conditioned. Dangerously drinkable aromatic brew.

A golden Belgian ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, smooth fruity malt with coriander notes, curacao, light peatyness and alcohol. In mouth, a great mix of candy sugar, licorice notes, curacao, alcohol warmth, superb. At the REAL gastropub, Zwanze day, Dec. 1 2012.
