It is hardly a secret that we at the Amager Brewery have a deep rooted love for Imperial Stouts - the noblest of all beers. In fact, we are constantly in the process of developing new variations of this fine beverage, this variation has eight malts and three hops. We are particularly proud to present what we feel is the king of hops: Zeus.
Amager Imperial Stout is a beer as black as mortal sin , crowned with the densest and most creamy light brown head. The coffee and chocolate accents are very distinct, but they come exclusively from the malt, while the aroma is rich with vanilla.
Amager Imperial Stout is in all respects a fierce beer for the more demanding and experienced beer drinkers who are not afraid to challenge their senses.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, brown sugar, hops and yeast

Bottle. Clear dark black color with a huge, frothy - creamy, good - excellent lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. Very nice ;o)) (170308)

Bottled. Black opaque colour big beigeish brown colour. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts with some yeast and mild wooden notes. Also some slight vanilla does balance it up as it got a bit warmer. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts and some vanillaish notes. Wellbalanced. Once it warms up it gets a lot of licorice in it.

Bottle 50cl. Batch 65. Purchased at Olbutikken, CPH. Pitch black with a creamy brown head & lacings. Aroma is roasted/burnt malts - chocolate & coffee. Velvetly smooth & filling. Heavy bitter roast - lightly ashy. Hops is noticeable in the end. Bitter & lasting. Pleasant warmth. Reminds me a lot of Mikkeller Beer geek breakfast! Great!

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with strong notes of hops - giving it some citrus notes, but also quite strong notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of citrusy hops and hard roasted malt, leading to a dry bitter finish. nice.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Pours black as mortal sin with the most fantastic, dense and creamy, light brown head. Amazing aroma of coffee and vanilla. Very full-bodied with rich accents of coffee and bitter chocolate with a bitterness that gradually builds up to be very dominant on the palate. Both malt bitter and bitter from the Zeus hops that seem to play quite a main rolle in this. Impressive. 160907

50 cL bottle, batch 65 (attempt number 65 at their Imperial Stout? I guess so, they donβt always seem to know what they are doing with their imp. stouts). Pours black and with a dense light brown lasting head. No yeast at bottom. Roasted, coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Full bodied. Flavour is smooth chocolate with hardroasted note mixing inbetween. Has a soft berry fruity note to it as well. Lingering chocolate and dark coffee into the finish, quite smooth and not as much liqourice as previously, and far from the vanilla heavy version I remember.
50 cL bottle, test brew. Pours very dark brown with light brown head. Sweet fruity/yeasty aroma. Liqourice, mild liqourice and chocolate. Flavour is thick liqourice and chocolate. Finish is strong elements of the same. Thick brew, alcohol presence.6-4-8-4-15=3.7
