Whoa! That’s roasty! Deep, dark, robust, charred, scorched, burnt malts, oh and a crap load of hops. Huge nose of roast, pine and espresso. The only thing keeping this out of impy territory is the body and mouthfeel, it lacks the viscosity of an impy. Very high bitter finish, loads of pine. The bitterness grabsyour taste buds and hangs on for dear life. This is to be expected from this brewer. Mikkeller in my opinionthe leaders in extreme brewing.

Flaska från share, backlog. Riktig gammelflaska, 50 cl med bäst före 2012. Föga förvånande passerat sin peak, mer kul än gott. Smakerna från grundölet märks fortfarande något, med snygga toffeetoner. Annars är det metalliskt, uttunnat och dåliga rester av kaffe.

Bottle @ home. Pours black with a dark creamy head. Hobby and roasted smell with a piney note to it aswell. Chocolate and coffee. Hobby and fruity yet dark taste with some grapefruit. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color, cloudy. Milk chocolate and melon in the aroma. Rye bread, some alcohol, roast, melon and grapefruit in the tart flavor. Couldn’t really find the coffee. Flavors and aromas are delicious, but the balance is lacking.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Pours black. Chocolate, strong pine and herbal stuff, grapefruit, toast, strong roast, good coffee hit. Good body. Tasty if a little overpowering.

Közepes, tartós hab, fekete szín. Csokis, kávés, kakaós illat, némi fűszeres beütéssel. Száraz, kávés, pörkölt malátás ízvilág, komlós, fűszeres alapon. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Jól eltalált, jól kiegyensúlyozott sör.
