Bottle picked up from the Ottakringer brewery shop yesterday. Had this Sunday 24th May 2026. Had this sat at the top of the garden on a glorious day. The beer is pretty good okay the oak aged version yesterday beats this hands down but this still gets things right, it's another authentic take on a Flanders Red, sweet tanginess, nicely tart, pours a dirty reddish brown with a fast disappearing head. Tart berries, dry finish, good. Score: 7.0

From tap at The Brickmakers Ale & Cider House, Wien. Aroma of malt, caramel, vinegar, grapes, sour red fruits. Flavour is medium sour. Body is also medium. A bit on the malty caramel side but has a nice sourness to it.

Draught at the brewpub, as Red Impact, small stable dense creamy head, clear dark red color, really beautifull. aroma of cherries, flavor of cherry compote, hint of smoke and wax, with a bit of lemon and orange in the back, very light and not enough sourness. Not really Flanders like.

Bottled 330ml. -courtesy of Hrabren, shared with him and Marko. Unclear amber coloured, minimal white to off-white head, raisins and malt in the nose. Sweet malty, dried fruits, raisins, some caramel and rather sweet finish. Not for my taste.
