Clear, golden colored, medium white frothy head, nice lasting. Aroma is of some malt, sugar, some citrus, spicy and flowery hops. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, caramel and some sugar, medium spicy, flowery and some citrus hops, bit lemony, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily. Don’t get the sugary sweetness, would be pretty good without it... (bottle, Pivonka, Hradec Kralove)

Lahev s patentním zavěrem: Golden, clear, small and stable white head; moderate - světlý-like - nose of pale malt and BOHEMIAN hops, some flowery new-world hops only in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, malty base detectable, medium bodied; dfier and lingering bitter-sweet finish with a bohemian hop-profile, accompanied by some "exotic" flowery hops. Not a real IPA, more like a Bohemian Pils with a small amount of flowery hops...

500ml swing-top bottle bought from djoeye. Clear golden-brown body, remaining rocky, white head. Spotty lacing. Herbal hops on the nose with hints of malty sweetness. Mixed taste of dried fruits and honeyed sweet malts. Malt-fruity ending, more sweet than bitter. Medium bodied. Satisfying. (Shared with Finn 01.08.2017).

Bottle at Dobrodruh. Soapy short lasting head. Clear golden colour. Feels slightly oxidized-stalish up front and also into the taste. There is a strange perfumey spiciness, which I believe to be imparted by the yeast - a similar character is present in their bohemian ale where I consider a plus. Not so here. The beer manages to maintain a sort of balance though, mostly perfumey, flowery, spicy and rather highly attenuated than aggressively bitter. Moderate perceived body, medium carbonation. Forget about IPAs when drinking this beer, Imagine a belgian golden ale instead.

0.33l bottle. Malty and hopy aroma, strong caramel, grassy notes. Clear golden color, white head. Malty taste, light hopy notes, caramel, light grassy notes, light sweet and sour notes, medium to high bitter. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation and very, very unpleasant sharp, dry, spicy, bitter finish with vegetables notes. Overall, not good, too malty, missing hops, especially with citruses notes.

Ich persönlich halte sehr viel von der Brauerei Bernard, weil sie sich über die Jahre nicht von einem Brauereikonglomerat aufgekauft wurde. Auch als Begleitung zu einem Bierbad habe ich das Bier schon genossen. Während das "Bohemian Ale" als ausgezeichnet bezeichnet werden kann, ist das IPA nicht zu empfehlen. Es ist enorm bitter, wobei die BItterkeit überhaupt nicht zu dem Tschechisch-typischen Buttergeschmack passt. Irgendwie scheint das Bier überhastet gebraut geworden zu sein, um einfach auch ein IPA im Portfolio zuhaben.

Bottle from Tesco, kindly donated by my friend Dano. . Golden color with medium white quickly disappearing head. Aroma of malt, light citrus hops.Taste, caramel, malt, light citrus hops, metallic notes, bit harsh bitterness in finish. Not very tasty and why I don’t understand, why they add sugar to beer.
