A 750-year long tradition of brewing the original Beer from Budweis and a unique 90-day long maturing period amplify the beer’s exceptionality even more. Budweiser Budvar Premium Pale Lager can thus be savoured with all the senses. Bottle at home, golden beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, fruit. Taste is the same, sweet, fruity, malt, bittersweet, not too bad.

As it is. Cracker malt, floral hops, oxidised paper notes. Brilliant clarity, yellow, moderate bright white head. Oxidation dominates and hops disappear almost entirely as it warms.

Clear golden, white head. A little canned aroma, meadow and citrus. Not very malt-driven, but balanced. Moderate bitterness

Burk från SB. Ljusguldig, klar med vit krona. Knäckebröd, något krispig, samtidigt mjukt maltig. Strax över medium beska.

On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a bright golden yellow with medium foamy white head and good lacing. The aroma has plenty of Czech hops, and just a hint of citrus. In the mouth it is crisp and fairly sweet with both malts and hops prominent. Some graininess also, and a little pepper later on. Finish is somewhat dry. This is a decent Pilsner.
