Session ‘ale’ (deliberately kept generic I assume) by this Slovenian craft brewer, once again thanks to Davor. Medium thick, mousy, regular, egg-white, closed and stable head over lightly hazy, warm ‘metallic’ old gold robe with warm peachy hue and very lively, almost champagne-like sparkling; shifting to lightly misty with sediment added. Aroma of lemon zest, green onions, dried leek, freshly cut thistles, field flowers, old garlic, old dried out cheese rind, crackers, straw, bread crumbs. Clean fruity onset, old apple and unripe banana accents, slight citrus zest, with a lively yet nowhere harshly numbing carbonation pleasantly adding ‘body’; slick, cereally malt body, pleasant bread crust effect, dryish, with more dryness added in the end by generously dosed, floral and dried citrus peel-like, grassy and bit ‘dusty’ hop bitterness, gently but adequately bittering with some retronasal citrus notes. Soft soapy accent lingers in the background. More an English style golden ale than an American style session IPA, very elegant and pleasant if nothing too remarkable, but technically well executed and that deserves an extra point in my book.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a roughish, white head. Clean, malty nose with what seems like flowery hops. Medium body, some sulphur - this seems soooo much like a Lager, but a good one too! 250718

Tap at Horvati. Clear full golden body, white head. Full citric aroma, marmalade indeed like someone mentioned, slightly herbal. Smooth peachy-citric taste, mild peach ice tea really, with some drops of lemon juice, but smoother. Slightly herbal finish, not much bitterness. This is an excellent Session IPA! World class even. Really pleasantly surprised!

Oranges, some green hops, light malt, catpiss. Dry, dominantly bitter, with a sharp bitter finish with even more catpiss.

On tap at Lajbah, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is nice and piney, with a dry biscuity malt. Piney and dry, with a smooth palate. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours golden somewhat hazy. Strange aroma with yeasty and metallic off notes. Tastes a lot better with roasted malt, strawberry, lime and gooseberry notes.
