Spotty beige head & collar on a light amber coloured body. Malt & berry aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a cloying back. Digestive biscuit, malt, berry & jam tastes. Standard.

Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aroma and taste: mostly malt. Clean, somewhat bready. Distant grassy hop. Light to medium sweet, light bitter. Mouth feel: medium minus body, average carbonation. Overall: totally inoffensive.

No great expectations here, a pale lager. But it is a hot afternoon and I have the bottle seriously cooled off. Off the pour it shows a nice dark gold with a here-and-gone white head. A straightforward taste of grain, paper, water and the barest hint of caramel. Substantial presence. Not bad.
