Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with a beautiful burgundy hue and a small, beige head. Nose is dominated by sweet cocoa powder - Nesquick. Rich, sweet body, again sweet cocoa, some salty licorice but also mushy, overripe, dark fruits which all adds up into a very delicious and complex melange. Carbonation to the low side. Not overly roasted, not overly bitter, not overly boozy - just super neat and drinkable. Baltic Porters can be soewhat harsh due to the Lager yeast - this one is the exact opposite. 011221

Fast ein Coffee-Stout, etwas mehr gehopft und spritziger. Feiner, beständiger Schaum, sehr röstige Kaffee-Noten, auch recht malzig-süss.

@home poured into a tasting glass. Opaque ruby brown colour, good frothy beige head, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma sweet & roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, subtle smoke, caramel, liquorice, alcohol notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, bit roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, bit smokey, liquorice. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering smooth maltiness, rich and elegant porter, really good.

Greyish-yellow small head; orange-shot brown, almost black beer. Dark malts' galore, dark sweet bread, Pumpernickel, chocolate, - smells like a Dunkler Bock. Bitter-sweet, with again lots of Pumpernickel bread. Bitter chocolate, liquorice, roast. Feels better bodied than it probably is. Good carbonation, bit slick. Flüssiges Pumpernickel ? Whatever, IMHO this is closer to Dunkler Bock than to Porter, Baltic or other. Thanks to Joren!

Bottle at BRLO taproom, Berlin, 11/07/19. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a well presented tan covering. Nose is burnt toffee, brown sugars, dark malts, cocoa powder. Taste comprises mellow roast, chocolate, leather, cocoa dusting, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable Bal-Tick ... a little thin and lacking depth though.

Rocky off white head left a froth on a dark brown body. Malt, chocolate & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, nicely balanced over the tongue with a clean back. Malt, liquorice, chocolate, berry & caramel tastes with a lightly hopped finish. It's a nice drinker.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Dark mahogany, minimal head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate fudge. Fairly dry with solid body and rounded mouthfeel. Hay, chocolate, caramel and coffee. Mid bitter finish. Very pleasant.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown, small off-white head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts dried fruit and coffee. Taste is sweet malty, dried fruits, roast, some coffee, chocolate creeps up on you to give a more mild note. Decent bitterness in the finish with dried fruits. Good, a little underrated.
