Tap. Dark brown with thick beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roastiness. Nice coffee, chocolatey taste with roasted notes. Nice.

On tap at The Castle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma reveals notes of liquid chocolate... maybe a hint of vanilla too. Flavour is soft and velvety, with fairly dry cocoa and light toasted malt. Cocoa-y on the finish. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours brownish black with a small offwhite head. Aromas of pilsnery yeast, chocolate, roasty, malty. Taste is yeasty, chocolate, cocoa, light hoppy, malty, roasty.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Caramel and a hint of roast in the aroma. Roast, caramel and licorice in the sweet flavor. Almost vinous. Likeable.

Dark brown, not a lot of head. Syrupy grain aroma, flavor is malty candy with coffee and dark caramel notes. Good complex roast/sugar profile, maybe could use a bit more hop bitterness. Skillful lack of astringency (which often throws a good dark beer off for me).

It’s a good clean beer. But lacking any type of boldness one expects from a baltic porter. Tastes more like a low abv dry porter. Beerwulf online. May 2019 3.5 Tried again, stand by my previous comments, but it’s very good and lager-like and deserves a slight bump. Another bottle from craftbiershop, agree with above^

From tap at BRLO Brwouse, Berlin, 31.03.19. Dark mahogany. Brown head and lacing. Aroma of dark caramel, dates, tobacco and pine shoots. Taste of dark caramel, pine and some chocolate.
