Craft and Draft. Keg. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable carbonation. Light wheaty malts. Mild spice. Light esters - sweetish. Ripe citrus. Light semi dry finish brings out the banana esters. I respect this brewery but this pretty odinary.

Big bottle I calculate to be 6.5 months old into a pilsner. A: Cloudy yellow pour with huge pillow of merengue. Great retention and prolific carbonation. Thick curtains of lace. S: Yeasty vinous scent. Perfume and apple. Thank God no banana noticed. T: Sour yeasty flavor. Like a saison imo. Not bad. M: Light and smooth mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Lightly coating finish. O: Admittedly I do not like wheat beer and did not expect to like this. It is pretty good and I understand ti is a standard of the style. Still not my thing.

Dark golden, not too hazy, a bit of visible carbonation. Creamy head, big but not too big for the style, good retention and some lacing. Soft aroma of white bread/dough, cereal, light citrus/zest and a hint of banana. Taste is mostly sweet with good attenuation from the slight acidity which makes it quite refreshing: white bread/dough, cereal, banana, a herbal hint, maybe vanilla... Light body with soft crispness, clean and very easy mouthfeel. A very good hefe, maybe not super-impressive in terms of taste but very well made and refreshing.

F: white, big, frothy, good retention. C: dark gold, hazy, non-transparent. A: wheat, malt, spicy, banana, coriander, hay, yeast, cloves, honey. T: wheat, malt, banana, coriander, cloves, peppery, orange peels, light to medium body, good carbonation, on tap @ Open restaurant near Como in Italy, very good enjoy it.

Tap @ Felni, Budapest, taster size. Cloudy yellow color. Uneven white head. Aroma’s: banana, light clove, with wheat, malt and fruit retronasal. Flavor is light sweet, light wheaty-sour, yeasty. Light bodied. It’s a classic in the style, and rightfully so.

Almost clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is a little musty hops with not much else. Taste is a little bitterness and also watery. Mouthfeel is also watery and a little soapy. Overall reminds me of kristallweizen. Did i get a bad bottle or is my taste very skewed? Overall i didn’t like it so much. Update: Had another one about a month later and don’t want to change my rating.

DIe Weihenstephaner Milch habe ich noch nicht getrunken, aber dieses Bier kenne ich schon lange. Es ist ein wohl geformtes Weizenbier mit schönen fruchtigen Aromen und einem leichten beerigen Abgang. Ein Bier mit Geschichte und Geschmack.
