Bottle from January, 2016. Pours a clear copper with a finger of foam that lingers. Malty, bread-like nose with some faint pine. Some citrus and pine on the palate with a splash of molasses. 12 oz bottle, thanks brenn79. Aroma consists of vanilla, cinnamon, wet dog, vague fruitiness (apples?). Pours slightly hazy burnt orange with a one finger beige head that falls into a collar of big-bubbly foam fairly quick. Taste is lightly sweet and spicy with a bitter finish; flavors of the aroma with a touch of menthol/cough drop, a hint of wood. Has a somewhat lackluster aroma, but it has a really nice and unique flavor.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. This is a clear deep dark almost glowing orange one with a small islandy and sidesticking beige top. On the nose I get some wood, oak, a little bit of alcohol, a nice pleasant sweetness and something light spicy. The spice quite evolves and opens up after a while in the glass! Not extreme, but still really nice smelling. Lots of flavor! Well bitter with both nuts, licorice and grass. The alcohol is a bit to obvious in this, perhaps. Doesn't feel correctly balanced in a way. It gets more vivid after a while in the glass, leaving my mouth light wood dry with a warming aftertaste. Can safely say that this is grew on me, and I wouldn't mind a second go where I have some more time. 04.05.2013

Poured from tap at Tuckaway nice copper color with a thin tan head. Aromas of caramel fruit hop dark fruit and brown sugar. Taste is sweet caramel fruit alcohol.

A reddish copper ale with very thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with nice vinous character, light surranated hops, dark fruits and toffee. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, resinous and piney notes, faint butterscotch, loads of alcohol warmth, light coconut and chocolate, interesting. Bottled 04/09/11, so 5 years old.

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, raisins, dark sugar, grass, minerals, alcohol, oak, fruit stones, dried fruits, caramel malts, bark. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, fruit stones, alcohol, grass, raisins, "knekk", oak, bark, minerals, burnt caramel, dried fruits, toast. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle from Damián. Not an everyday beer for sure. Dark amber color with head copying color of body. Sweet, is it bourbon? aroma, persisting through whole experience. Taste is again sweet, malty and again very sweet, is this the bourbon? I’m certainly not fan of bourbons but I would give this happily another try. Nice.

Bottle from Total Wine & More, St Petersburg. Toffee brown with a hint of amber, slightly cloudy. A little bit of filmy white head on top. Salted caramel, candied orange peel, hazelnuts, thick honey, and some muted resin in the nose. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Should be cloying but it isn’t. Long finish with hop bitterness bringing up the rear. Warm buttered toast with cinnamon sugar, brandy, stone fruit and a hint of smoke in the aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Really good stuff.

0.355 l bottle from ’P&M Getränke’, best before October 2016 (according to the import label which does not allow me to read anything from the original back label). Clear, deep reddish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish, malty and a bit boozy aroma of caramel, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla, honey, candied fruits and some plasticine. Very sweet, malty and a little alcoholic taste of lots of toffee, molasses, brown sugar, some honey, a touch of vanilla and some plasticine, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, a little alcoholic finish. Full body, sticky and oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Heavy stuff, not that easy to drink, not completely round as wel. Still nice, but expected something more sophisticated.
