Our brewers have used the finest seasonal ingredients to lovingly craft an ale that offers an intriguing balance of flavours within a unique, and very special flavour profile. Dry-hopped with Mosaic hops, this red Ale has complex aromas and flavour of tropical and stone fruit, underlined with pine and citrus hop notes and as with all of our Ales, there are no additives and no preservatives. Compass malt is used with the barley sourced from the Murray Mallee region of South Australia.

0.355 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', 2024 vintage. A bit hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, gently resiny aroma of mango, orange, tobacco and pine. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather fruity and slightly resiny taste of grapefruit, orange jam, mango, pine and tobacco, followed by a medium long, quite bitter finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. I expected something like an ESA but this leans towards West Coast DIPA territory. Actually quite nice!

Lord knows when and where I got this. Vintage 2009. It must be said, though: this beer has aged impressively. Mellow toasted toffee, a little earthy biscuit, brown sugar, soft oxidation. Could do with a bit more body but it’s a nice beer overall.

very nice orange/copper pour. Great english ale aroma. Lots of sweet bready malts, and some great english pungent hops. Flavor is quite hoppy, lots of quality pungent english hops, they taste quite a bit like goldings. There is some nice fruit, and yeastiness to this beer, its really quite nice. i enjoyed it.

Bottle at home. 2015 vintage enjoyed in july 2016. Aroma is strong malt, caramel, toffee, raisins, sweet dried fruits, figs. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not bad at all, has an enjoyable malty caramel dried fruity richness.

Test to see if I can add a batch. Bottle. Bronze with a 2cm off white head. Aroma of of strong bread, marmalade, weeds, hints of pine. Any tropical notes are gone already. Perhaps there are hints in the taste, but it's mainly cooked grapefruit and weeds; dryish with bread, Coopers yeast. Firm bitterness. Still old fashioned and good.
