Corresponding to the spring, our Maibock is a lighter representative than the dark Bock from our house. Its golden yellow color and the malty aroma go hand in hand with the sweetness of a real Bock beer softened by Hallertau hops.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweet malts with a touch of bread, some syrupy notes with ripe fruits. Sweet flavour with a light bitterness and a hint of alcohol in the finish. Medium body. Good enough but still a style that quickly gets too sickly sweet for my taste.

Pours clear deep gold into a stem glass. Bright white micro head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Hot banana bread aromas. Soft with sweet banana bread and mild bubblegum upfront turning to earthy bark and lightly toasted multigrain sourdough in the lasting finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear Golden with a lacing, white head. Clean malty nose. Solid malty body, quite some sweetness, but neatly balanced by solid bittering hops. Super straight example of the style. 220624

L3335,so 335th day of 2023? Bought locally.

Pours a pale clear gold with plenty of foam and great head retention. Smells bready, malty but not sweet, no discernable bitterness.

Taste is bready, malty, hints of lemon citrus but not at the forefront. So tasty.

Smooth mouthfeel.

This is really delicious.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours totally clear gold with a foamy, white head. Medium sweet flavour with lightly sun-kissed, bready malts, nips of honey, sugar, a slight floral hop note. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely malty finish, not overly sweet. Rather drinkable.

Bottle picked up directly from Ayinger brewery, Aying and consumed at home Wednesday 29th May 2024. Pours amber in colour with a mid sized white head. Aroma is malty with hints of toffee and caramel, unsurprisingly these two are quite dominant in the mouth, it's a malty beer, quite full bodied. Very good beer though of the recent Maibocks tried lately I think I just slightly prefer the Weltenburger Maibock.

500ml bottle at home. Pours a deep amber with a large white head. Bready malts and butter, caramel, toffee, some light grains on the nose. Flavour is mostly the same. Slight bitterness or sour character in the aftertaste.
