0.33 l bottle from 'bier.', bottled in April 2018. Black with a massive, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity and slightly sourish-funky aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, rosemary, blueberry, raspberry and some leather. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty, a bit sourish, quite funky and moderately fruity taste of lots of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, leather, some wood and a touch of red berries, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy-dry, slightly tart, funky, a bit woody finish with medicinal notes and a touch of glue. Medium body, smooth, slightly creamy and just a little astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very complex beer, rather intense with lots to discover, but somehow the Brett doesn't fit in that well, some harsh medicinal and almost chemical notes appear.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass very zippy, nice small head. Malty fruity aroma. Starts malty, light sourish, some fruity hints. Unusual Imperial Stout. Fruity notes like plum, also light lemon hints. Finish well balanced, interesting malty-sourish-fruity combination.

33cl pours a watery, dark brown with plenty of frothy, khaki head. Nose has odd herbs, witch hazel maybe, sumac, grist flour, stale bread. Flavor has dark cherry, black pepper, pumpernickel toast, some raisin, a little ancho. Tart but peppery finish.

Pretty clear dark purple brown beer, small creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of dried fruits, malty, caramel, raisins, sugary, candy, dried cherries. MF: pretty lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sweetish start, pretty bitter, very soft roast, fruity, acidic, quite some alcohol. Aftertaste: some tannins, sour cherries, dried fruits, acidic, funky, cola touch.

Many thanks to rhoihessegold for this bottle! Sourish malty roasted nose, hints of rotten banana The beer starts the same - funk is there with the typical muddy cellar aroma of the Brett with rotten fruits. The roasted malts is there, but the old bananas and pears, between over-ripe and already rotting, are dominating the picture. Very strange. Dry roasted malts in the back with this rotting aroma below. Interesting but bad combination. Well made brew, nevertheless, but nice try only.

Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Good drinkability. Interesting project, and it works out! Extra points for the boldness to do this in a German environment.
