On tap at Union Pivnica, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and light earth. Flavour reveals light roasted malt, some earth and toasted nuts. Light, but pronounced enough roast character. Solid.

Decent foam on top, dark brown on the bottom. Aroma of burnt coffee and that's about it. Flavour is sweet coffee, like an Americano with lots of sugar dumped into it and served lukewarm (I drank this unrefrigerated, to get an honest assessment). Drinkable but simple and rather watery.

Bottled 500ml. -from Mercator Naklo. Brown coloured, medium sized pale beige head, caramel in the nose. Light roasted malt, milk chocolate, caramel, some grassy and strange sugary notes with short dryish finish. Three weeks out of BBE date.

Bottle, 0.50l. Pours pitch black with thin soapy light brown head, fair lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy, mild roasted and rubbery. Taste starts with mild sweet roasted malt, follows grassy and coffeeish, even chocolate is felt when beer warms up, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is medium bitter. Light to medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Positive surprise for sure...

Pours pitch black ,topped with emdium and non-lasting beige head. Mild roasty nose with chocolate developing later on, in the back some grassy hoppy notes. Mildly roasty with medium bitterness, grasy, going into aftertaste. Silky and medium full body which is a nice surprise. Drinkable, but not that special.

Bottle, 0.5l. Pours thick deep ruby body, black on sight. Two finger frothy beige head, poor retention, good lacing. Nose is mostly burned malts, slight caramel and toffee. Pleasant. Medium body with thick texture, very softly carbonated. Balanced bittersweet taste with some metallic presence. Aroma of burned malts, yeast, caramel, toffee. Faint hint of coffee. Aftertaste sadly dominated by metallic bitter notes. Overall, decent effort.

Sample draft @ Pivnica Union, Ljubljana. Ultra fresh, what a delight it was. Cuivre oscillant sur l’ambre et brun, col blanc-cassé. Arôem au nez plaisant, levant le voile sur un bouquet malté, grillé superbement bien rendu, le tout avec un petit accompagnement de chocolaté et une note plus amer rappelant le carapils. Palais est malté, bien grillé qui reste très persistant avec un fini café-chocolaté qui apporte une dimension excise à chaque gorgée. Retrouve qcq éléments nobles niveau des houblons tout en gardant l’aspect classique de style allemand. Très légère, bien exécutée.

0,5 l bottle. Pours dark amber brown with big tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is dominated by roasty notes, some coffee and caramel. Flavor is similar, roasty coffee with some caramel, malt and yeast. Body is light, texture is almost watery with average carbonation and rather short roasty bitter finish.
